SOUTH WOOD COUNTY YOUTH HOCKEY ASSOCIATION Board of Directors Meeting Minutes South Wood County Rec. Center April 24, 2006
Attendance: The meeting was called to order at 8:35 PM by Treasurer, Doug Krueser. Board Members present were Candy Blakeslee, Bernie Esselman, Jennifer Esselman, Eileen Hillila, Daniel Janik, Doug Kreuser, Carmella Lyp, Jane Overfelt, Dave Steinhilber, and Jess Yenter. Lynn Schroer arrived at 8:50. Kelly Lamb was absent. Tammy Scharmer served as secretary until a new one was appointed.
New Officers: The new Board Members, Candy Blakeslee, Bernie Esselman, Eileen Hillila, and Carmella Lyp, were introduced. The floor was then opened to officer nominations. The new officers elected were: Dave Steinhilber, President; Dan Janik, Vice-President; Kelly Lamb, Treasurer: and Jane Overfelt, Secretary. Following Steinhilber’s acceptance, Doug Kreuser turned the meeting over to him. Overfelt took over the minutes following her acceptance.
Registration: All returning players will pay a $50 registration deposit by August 1, 2006 to cover USA Hockey Insurance costs for the 2006-2007 season. A discussion was held regarding the SWCYHA payment policy.
WIAA Girls: A discussion was held regarding the financial situation of the WIAA Girls’ team. A special meeting will be held to discuss this matter further. Chip Lacasse is working on a question and answer form to aid in this discussion. A proposal for the WIAA Girls’ Hockey Team is being brought to the Wisconsin Rapids School Boards’ Educational Services Committee meeting on Monday, May 1, 2006. It will then be taken to the School Board’s monthly meeting on Monday, May 8, 2006.
Committees: A discussion was held in regards to organizational matters that will be further discussed at the next meeting. Committees will be set-up and established.
The next meeting has been scheduled for Sunday, May 7, 2006, 6:30 PM, at the South Wood County Rec. Center
